 Reunion Report

Thanks to all of the helpers and attendees who made our 45th class reunion a relaxed, fun weekend of Rich Lre-connections.

We started with a casual “meet-up” at Carney’s Tavern on Friday evening. Saturday, August 24th, afternoon we spent the afternoon together at The Pig ‘N Whistle, enjoying tunes from “our era” assembled by Don MacElroy, catching up on life histories, and working on a chilled keg. Eileen Egan enthusiastically led us through a surprisingly strong rendition of our Alma Mater including her rousing “Go Spartans” cheer and little jump at the end. Many of us ended the evening circled around the fire rings at the back of the restaurant singing requested tunes with the professional guitarist who was playing that evening. Even the weather cooperated with wonderfully low humidity, clear skies and comfortable temperatures.

In an abnormally organized manner for our class,
we actually took a vote to hold another official
reunDon Macion nearJoan H. the end of September in 2018. We also resolved to search for more classmates, and have spontaneous get-togethers between now and our 50th.

So mark your calendars, watch for updates on this website and our Facebook Group, and relay information about classmates that you know. We all hope to continue reconnecting with old friends.

Molly, Thanks so much for posting all those GREAT pictures. I’ve already set aside Sept., 2018 and I’m determined to be there this time!! I was pleasantly surprised at how many of you I actually recognized – even after 45 years. Everyone looked SUPER and I can’t wait to see you all in a couple years. Burnt Hills is so much nicer than Atlanta in August!!

The deadline has been extended to 8/15 so there is still lots of time to send me a check!! I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

45 years!!!! The great time we had at Molly’s in 2008 seems just like yesterday. I am hoping we get to see many more folks show up this time.

This is very good to see, as are all of you in the pictures. How neat- and I’m sorry to have missed it.
Odd, but I’ve communicated with Mark Blundell in England and Sally Freiburghouse in Australia more than any other classmates (and even that’s sporadic)- maybe because I’m halfway between London and Oz. Married to David Radka (’69) with two daughters and a grandson- we all live on the Olympic Peninsula, and currently are having a real winter, i.e. snow.

My email’s mantlady@gmail. It’s not likely I’ll be back East any time soon- I’ve moved my father out here, my sister lives in Texas, and we juggle working a lot and farming a little. It doesn’t look like retirement’s in the near future either 😉

Wishing you all health and a good New Year- and know I’d love to hear from any and all.
